This joy that I have, the devil didn't give it and the devil can't take it away.
I've got joy like a river, and the Lord God gave it to me.
This is the day that the Lord has made, I WILL rejoice and be glad in it.
A really nice 25 miles this morning with the joy of the Lord in my soul. I made it out to Gruene but not my typical route. The climb from Puppy Playland to the 337 loop is brutal but doesn't last forever. The climb from River Road into Downtown Gruene? The same. The weather, my energy, my motivation all came together today for a really nice ride. The only thing missing was a riding companion but God was with me the whole way. From my home to taking the long way to the dog park up the climbs, down the descents and along the flats, He was with me. Today there was a song in my heart and a prayer on my lips from time to time. I thank God for the good health He's given me, the beauty in a sunrise He shows me and for every good and perfect gift that comes down from the Father above.
It's already a great day.
